- Attentiveness – how many arms must the customers wave to get a waiter’s/waitress’s attention?
- Pleasant (& friendly) staff – and a few English words go a long way!
- Equal treatment – everyone is a customer, not just people who (you think) are rich foreigners!
- “In-your-face” request for tips (customers are not walking cashboxes!)
- Desperate whining by waitresses for ladies-drinks (ditto)
